The economy worsens every day. You read the news. It’s not exactly what you’d like to hear, is it? More and more people getting laid off. More and more people losing their homes. More and more horrible charts, tables and statistics all breaking records for a worsening trend of one sort or another. Foreigners taking American jobs and more and more Americans losing their homes.
It’s that bad and there are no signs if tough economic times changing for the better any time soon. With so much bad news hitting the newspapers and TV news, it makes you want to just stick your head in the sand, like an ostrich, or better yet, killing an ostrich for the meat. But you can’t do that, mainly because there aren’t that many ostriches in your neck of the woods. So, what are you to do? You have a family to feed. If you’re like me, you’re totally stressed out about what might happen next. How will you feed your family, how to keep your home, how to keep from being one of the millions of families who are now homeless.
Don’t expect the government to do anything. Unfortunately for you, the government is powerless to turn things around because they’ve exhausted our treasury on too many foreign wars, Viet Nam, Iraq, Korea, Afghanistan. We even have 50,000 troops wasting our money in Germany in case Adolph Hitler should return. By exporting our jobs, by giving away so much of our money in foreign aid, we’re crippled economically and there is no way we can do anything meaningful for the economy now. Not to worry. Just the other day, we just gave Pakistan another 7 Billion Dollars. They hate us. They have thousands of schools where they teach how to hate Americans. But, in our government’s great wisdom, they give them money knowing they’ll just spend it on more of these anti-American schools. They’re harboring our greatest enemies and we are throwing American tax dollars and borrowed dollars at them in hopes this will buy us their friendship. We spend equal amounts in Israel and many other foreign countries on similar folly.
So, don’t count on the Political leadership to do anything for you. The economy is getting worse and everything we’re doing as a country is just making matters worse. So, it’s obviously ‘every man for himself’ now. You are on your own. You have to protect your family. Think family first. We have to save ourselves. We’re on the Titanic and it’s women and children first into the lifeboats. Hope there are enough lifeboats. We have to feed our families in this, the worst economic depression, recession, double dip recession, financial disaster, Wall Street collapse, the failed economy, bank collapse, bank failure – whatever you want to call it – in memory.
So, what do we suggest? We wouldn’t have written this article without some kind of solution in mind. You know that. So, here it is. We must literally invent a new kind of economy, an economy in which we serve ourselves and make our own jobs, make our own new and highly creative forms of work, create our own jobs, jobs that take advantage of our greatest skills, our greatest passions. I have named this new form of economy, the ‘Hip Hop Economy’ and I based it on something that we all enjoy, Team Sports and good sportsmanship because when you think about it, what we need is the freedom of competition, but within a group that supports us and allows us to compete better. So, I have also started my own team, Team Superbowl, because I feel that the new economy should be similar to the Sports World, where everyone is on a team and we’re competing for the grand prize, the super bowl of success, financial freedom. Sounds silly at first, but after you think about it and read more about it, the light bulb may go on.

That’s what most sports guys get if they’re any good, right? Why not the rest of us. Heck, I just read about a kicker for an NFL team who just signed a contract for 65 Million Dollars. They’re paying kickers millions of dollars and they work a total of 5 minutes at the most per week. How’s that for a great business model and you know, I think it’s a great model, and one that could work for the rest of us if we so choose.
Isn’t that a nice dream? Well, it’s not jut a dream for me any longer. I have been living completely independently from any employer outside of myself for the last twenty years, just about from the day the Internet was launched. I was there and I saw the potential for financial freedom instantly and started doing things that would result in my being successful in a home based business right from the start and I have never looked back.
