Recently we’ve had some needs to handle a better separation between our personal expenses and business expenses.

I’m extremely unhappy with this program. What a waste of $80, I only updated because I kept receiving notifications that on line banking would not be supported anymore because the program was 3 years old.

They didn’t hide any menus/buttons, etc. While the software is good minus the online component, I can’t in good conscience give it a good or mediocre rating for the following reasons: 1.

The error message actually directed me to Intuit’s website (via an embedded link) to insure that my financial institution was supported. It had a search box and link driven letters to hop right to your institution. Tweaked a little, yeah, but essentially unchanged. Setting up and editing custom categories are a pain. I had some trouble with the update it wanted to do.

I gave a “tolerant” 4 star rating with respect to user functionality, giving credit to the designers with the original intent of creating a standalone product. I think staying current with this type of application is particularly important since it holds so much of your personal financial data. The help file isn’t very helpful beyond basic (and I mean VERY basic) functionality. I guess you could call the help line, but my prior experience with Quicken is that they outsource the help desk to foreign countries, the technicians do not speak English as a first language and they read from a script leading you through the same not so helpful help file you just gave up on. If one was to use desktop software in the traditional sense, your data is your data, then this software does a good job. However, if one wants live information, service subscriptions, ticker symbols, and so on, then this may not be a good product in comparison with online websites providing similar functions. With no copy and paste I have to repeat the set up for each one. You can’t categorize multiple sub-categories at once.

I found it best to take security settings all the way down to medium, see if that fixes your problem, and if it does, you can go back up from there in terms of adding security options one by one. Patio Landscaping.
